Nut Job

Rock'n'Roll it aint. Kid Carpet is a one-man synthesizer band sounding noting like the acclaimed Canadian hip-hop sample meister Kid Koala. His musical knowledge only streaches as far back as Paul Hardcastle's (n-n-n-n) 19. Recklessly plundering any genre from skinhead pogo, to lift musak, interjected with silly lyrics. Infamously sampled Van Halen's 'Jump' regurgitated through a Speak 'n' Spell and set to a break-beat tempo. The Californians were non too happy with his rendition so it has never been official released, but pub audiences still enjoy banging their heads on low faux-Tudor beamed ceilings all over Britain. My local, next to the prison, played host to him last night. BPSideburn woz ere
